Steve Solbrack

Steve has been a Rotarian for 28 years and is a past president of the Rotary Club of St. Louis Park, MN, USA. He is a charter member and director of the Twin Cities Rotary EcoClub, chartered February 2019. He was District 5950 Membership Chair for 2015-18 and will serve as DG Innovation Project Advisor in 2019-20. He has previously served as District Assistant Governor Coordinator, District Conference Chair, multi-district Youth Foundation Board member, International Service Chair, and Assistant Governor. He is a Major Donor, Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society member, and a Bequest Society Level 4. In May 2014 he received the Citation for Meritorious Service award from The Rotary Foundation.

Steve sold his business, Solbrekk Business Technology Solutions, 4 years ago, and is now retired. He was a business owner or business executive in information technology, Internet, data communications, and telecommunications for over 30 years.

He has made 9 international trips for Rotary Global Grant service projects since 2002 and led an $800K Rotary Global Grant WASH project benefiting 16 communities in Western Honduras in 2013-16. During the 2017-18 Rotary year he led a District wide tree planting initiative to plant over 28,000 trees, finishing 13th in the world for tree planting. He led the initiative to charter the new Twin Cities Rotary EcoClub, chartering with 25 members, 48% female, 44% young adult, and average age of 42. He has been a member of The Nature Conservancy Global Advisory Council for MN, SD & ND for the past 3 years.
