Presidential Conference on Sustainability and Peace - Vancouver, BC

The first-ever Rotary International Conference on Environmental Sustainability and Peace took place in Vancouver, British Columbia the weekend of February 9 - 11, 2018.  Videos of the conference sessions are being made available as they are processed into 40 minutes segments (more or less). 

Videos so far include the keynote speaker, Dr. David Suzuki, speaking on "The Challenge of the 21st Century - Setting the Bottom Line in the Anthropocene;" General Session 2: "The Business of Sustainability," moderated by Rotarian Beth Keck, with panelists Bruce Karas, VP Environment & Sustainability, Coca-Cola and Atlanta McIlraith, Senior Manager, Community Engagement & Communications, Timberland; and General Session 3: “Nurture the Soil Feed the World” with Karen Kendrick Hands / Navin Ramankutty / Maria Rodale / Chris Cochran.

Interactors at the Presidential Conference

At the conference's closing session, Rotary International President Ian Riseley charged the conference committee to continue its work on environmental sustainability and peace-building in order to present summary learnings at the Rotary Peace Building Summit to be held June 22-23, 2018 in Toronto.  Register now when you register for the RI International Convention.
