Regional Chapters

Regional Chapters are being established as leaders and members join.

Anyone who is eligible to join ESRAG is eligible to be a member of their Regional Chapter. When you joined ESRAG you may have selected to join your Chapter with the Onboarding form.

[Regional Chapter Map]

If you are not a member of ESRAG but would like to participate in your Regional Chapter please use either the Contact ESRAG or Rotary Family form and your Regional Chair will get back to you.

Members of Rotary who live outside the region, but who are working in the region may join a Regional Chapter as Chapter Affiliates.

A Regional Chapter Affiliate is a Rotary Family member that may join a Regional Chapter, but does not live in the region. Affiliates have all the rights and responsibilities of a Regional Member, but are not eligible to be Chair or Vice-Chair of that Region. The Chair and Vice-Chair must be residents of the region.

Here are some local Rotary groups that have been operating for years:

Write PPE@esrag.org and tell us about your Rotary club's environemental sustainability work!  We are building a database of Preserve Planet Earth committees and would like to include yours.

The Sustainability Trust (TST) is ESRAG's antecedent organization.  ESRAG is grateful for the groundwork and visibility they laid within Rotary, in particular in Rotary International Great Britain and Ireland.  ESRAG continues to benefit from the momentum and engagement of Rotarians around the world thanks to their efforts.  For example, see Sustainable Global Gardens, a partnership that has been organizing and monitoring tree-planting competitions among schools in Kenya and Tanzania in the Mount Kilamanjaro region.

Regional Chapters

To facilitate communication across the Rotary International Six Areas of Rotary Focus, and to enable direct geographical focus, ESRAG is facilitating Regional Chapters to build relationships, and to share ideas, challenges, experience, and solutions. Regional Chapters that have been identified so far include

  • Australia/New Zealand
  • East Asia/Japan
  • India, Southeast Asia, Philippines
  • Middle East
  • Africa
  • Europe
  • Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI)
  • Central and South America
  • United States and Canada
